Thank you so much for your interest in Hadassah's Hope. We are truly excited for everything that God has done and is doing around the world to make a difference in the lives of orphans. God is impressing on so many hearts in these recent days the importance of taking care or orphans. Our journey started 2 years ago when we adopted our little girl from Kazakhstan. It was a long adventure to get our little princess, but God worked in miraculous ways to make everything happen and build a little character in us as well. (To read more about our journey please go to OUR STORY at www.hadassahshope.org) Out of this adventure and calling we felt the Lord lead us to continue to do our best to make a difference in the lives of orphans on a global scale. One specific area that God has helped us understand is to help worthy families who so desperately want to adopt a child but due to financial opportunities can not afford the cost of the process to adopt internationally. Along with this vision we also want to make a difference in the lives of orphans who are waiting for their future mommy's and daddy's through P.E.A.C.E. mission trips. (To learn more about PEACE go to www.thepeaceplan.com.) It is only through the love and support of individuals that we have been able to begin this journey. Thank you for your support, prayer and investment in the lives of orphans around the world. We look forward to partnering with you in the lives of orphans around the globe.

Following His Vision,

How did Hadassah's Hope come about?

It started in the summer of 2005 when we were blessed to go with about 40 people from Saddleback Church and Empowering Kids to Kazakhstan to enrich the lives of orphans through a Vacation Bible School program and the installation of a large playground structure. God blessed that trip with changed lives, respect from the local officials and families coming home with the desire to adopt oversees.

This summer, we will be taking about 50 people back to Kazakhstan. We will be ministering in two different locations. The first is in a baby home located in the women's prison. In this prison, children from birth to three years old are forced to "do time" with their mothers. We are partnering with Phil and Carole Wagner of Set Free Prison Ministry, who have been working in this prison faithfully for over six years. Our goals for this trip are three fold; installation of an outdoor baby playground, furnishing toys and equipment for an indoor playroom and helping to provide cloth diapers and diaper liners for the babies. We are providing the diaper material and the women in the prison will be sewing the diapers at the prison's sewing factory.

Secondly, we will be returning to the small regional orphanage we served in last summer. We hope to continue to build relationships with the children and teachers through another daily Vacation Bible School. In addition, we have been able to purchase brand new toddler beds, mattresses and new cribs below wholesale prices so they can get rid of old, unsafe cribs that have been used for years. Donations of mobiles and baby equipment, such as Exer-saucers, bouncer seats, wind-up swings and toys will help to stimulate the babies who are often left lying in bed for hours on end. The older children will benefit from a new indoor playroom with basketball hoops, play houses, slides, puzzles and wooden bead toys, and other items which will give them the opportunity to play and stretch their legs during the extremely cold Kazakhstan winters. Currently, this room is completely vacant with no toys or play structures and the kids are often forced to stay in this room for hours on end. The toys will cheer the kids up, help their motor development and provide an opportunity for us to share God's love in a practical way.

Another mission of Hadassah's Hope is to help families adopt. We are excited to tell you that we have been able to help support our first family, the Reed family, which came with us to Kazakhstan last summer. After they saw the children, they fell in love and upon return to the United States immediately began the adoption process. Their story can be found on our brand new website at www.hadassahshope.org.

We recently got back from Kazakhstan where we were able to set up for our trip in August. God has blessed Hadassah's Hope and the trips taken with excellent contacts and help while in the country. We look forward to seeing where God will take us as we prepare for the trips to come.

We have already been getting offers from other countries in and out of the post-Soviet block for aide. It really has been an eye opening experience to see the need and desire for orphan care that exists throughout the world. God has definitely shown that the "harvest is plenty but the workers are few" when it comes to orphan care. Through your time, effort and donations, Hadassah's Hope is able to further its ministry throughout the world. We look forward to what God will do through these amazing kids, changing them "from orphans to Esthers." Thank you so much for your interest in Hadassah's Hope. Updates

We will be serving in Almaty, Kazakhstan from August 14th-25th 2006. We have shipped two containers full of beds, cribs, play equipment and toys for the children in the Baby Home at the women's prison and at the local orphanage. Our team of 46 men, women and kids are extremely excited to build the playground, play with the kids and teach them through a week long VBS.

Pray that our team would have safe travels to Kazakhstan.

Praise

We have had excellent help getting our container filled with items, such as cribs, beds and play equipment out of customs in Kazakhstan for the orphanage and Baby Home.

God has been opening doors for Hadassah's Hope to work in other Kazakhstan regions as well as the world.

"22But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
27Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress
and refusing to let the world corrupt you." James 1:22, 27 (NLT)
