In 2005 Hadassah’s Hope had the opportunity to be a part of a service team that served orphans in Kazakhstan. Hadassah’s Hope was able to help through financing the containers of playground equipment that were shipped from the United States to Kazakhstan.

Through this opportunity we were able to join along side Saddleback Church in running a week long Vacation Bible School, building a playground for the orphanage and building relationships for trips to come. Through this trip lives were changed, orphans were shown love and families are adopting.

Hadassah’s Hope was able to join a team of over 40 men, women and children to Kazakhstan in 2006. We were able to send a 20’ container filled with beds, cribs, indoor play equipment, cloth diapers and baby toys for the orphanage in Kazakhstan. In addition to this, we took a 40’ container filled with a large play structure for a local women’s prison, where babies from birth to 3 years “do time” with their mothers.

For 10 days we built the play structures, beds and cribs, while running a week long Vacation Bible School. During this time the children learned songs, stories and crafts while being shown love in practical ways. It was a great time in which everyone involved saw orphan care in a different light and the impact that a short time can have on the lives of children. With doors being opened for Hadassah’s Hope to offer services in other regions throughout Kazakhstan, we look forward to the future that God has for us in Kazakhstan.

"22But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
27Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress
and refusing to let the world corrupt you." James 1:22, 27 (NLT)
